The Olson TZ database
is recognized as the most reliable source for time zone data, including historical
rules. Our TimeZoneSource solution has all the Olson data compiled right inside,
so the conversion of date/time information is accurate dating back to the early
1900's and going forward until 2020, and beyond.

Windows vs. Olson Time Zones
Microsoft Windows provides 96 of the most common time zones. The Olson TZ Database
includes all 563 time zones. Our TimeZoneSource solution includes both Windows and
Olson time zones, so you get to decide which list of time zones you want to use
in your application.
